Phuong’s Thoughts Tape

Attached are the 1st, 2nd, and final script drafts; first/only storyboard; and my final script that has my prose spaced out to help me with pausing during audio recording (did this so I didn’t have to hold a couple pages of storyboard in the audio booth).

Phuong Final Script

There was a big change from 1st draft to the 2nd draft because of suggestions I received during group discussions that I do not have on file with me.

I also attached a document that has your email of suggestions you gave me for my first storyboard. I underlined parts that followed with me deep to help me proceed to my final video.
Brianna Email Suggestions

My first storyboard had mostly all still pictures. It wasn’t until watching Hannah Lindgren’s DS in our EDUC 318 class that opened my eyes to be more adventurous in using video clips. Her voice and Rose’s voice in their DSs helped me try to find emotion in the words I would record for the final video. I found it more motivational at the end to see my peers’ work than other DSs online while completing my DS.

To create the final video, I sat down at a computer, listened to each part of my already recorded script, kept the suggestions of other’s in mind, and imagined what kind of video clips I wanted to use that matched the emotions I heard in the words I recorded. I did a lot of adding different clips to see which ones “matched” my voice the best. I disregarded most of my first storyboard pictures.

Thanks again for being able to use my DS. It makes me feel warm that I can share my voice.
